2017 Celebration

This year father’s day celebration was celebrated with a difference. Men’s Welfare Trust in association with Loveudaddy.com organised an extensive celebration- a painting competition where young participants were asked to draw/paint something for their father, an puzzle activity where children were asked to assemble models of world famous landmarks, and then to conclude, a cake cutting ceremony.

The activity took place at India Gate, the hub of picnic makers in New Delhi late afternoon, on 18th June 2017, (the third Sunday). It started with the painting activity first which met with an overwhelming response from young enthusiastic participants- so much so that the organizers ran short of sheets and drawing boards!

The participants ranged from all walks of life from the public at the sprawling India gate lawns- from under privileged children to middle class children as well as differently-abled children. The paintings made by them evoked a lot of interest and amused their parents, guardians and the organizers equally.

The children were allowed to take their creations with them, along with a gift from the organizers.

The activity concluded with a special ceremony- cake cutting.

A tempting cake in the shape of LoveuDaddy fonts was sponsored exclusively by LoveuDaddy.com, to mark the end of celebration. When the painting/colouring activity ended, pairs of father-children (which included senior citizens as well) were asked to cut the cake which was laid down on the lawn.

The cake attracted a lot of attention, even from bystanders and everyone wanted a piece for themselves, which the volunteers from the organizing team happily distributed, including among the members of Delhi Police.
